Job Mission:

The Intake Specialist greets and assists patients and customers in a friendly, attentive, and helpful manner, both in person and over the phone. This team member is the first point of contact for our customers, has outstanding customer service skills, is responsible for the customer experience, and demonstrates professionalism in all aspects of his/her job.  The role  includes welcoming customers, customer profile creation in our POS system, providing store tours, and demonstrating stellar customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide the highest level of customer service while interacting with patients and customers on-site and over the phone by having an optimistic attitude and welcoming personality
  • Process in-patients and customers by validating identification and enter information securely into our POS system
  • Operate front desk responsibilities such as answering phones, emails, checking-in patients, and updating patient files
  • Provide all new patients/customers with a brief explanation of products and/or services
  • Become well-educated with all cannabis products offered and/ or be willing to learn
  • Has ability to present promotions and specials in a manner of up-selling to our customers
  • Does check in with Inventory team for new product received and any conversion needs remove this bullet point
  • Partners with Marketing department to have clear understanding of all promotions, specials, pricing, and up sell opportunities 
  • Motivated to learn and execute new tasks during downtime
  • Ensure that the common areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Coordinate with the appropriate department personnel regarding any questions and issues
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development as needed
  • Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork 
  • Dependability and solid attendance are critical for this role

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Education
    • High school diploma or GED preferred
    • Associates Degree in Business or the equivalent in work experience preferred
  • Experience
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Intermediate to advanced experience with Google suite
    • Must have demonstrated experience with planning and time management 
  • Skills
    • You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. 
    • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize
    • Detail-oriented and organized
